Humanities V/s Humanity

26 04 2012

I’ve never understood how history in useful in the modern world. I don’t disrespect history as a subject or an area; I’ve just never understood… the point of it being assessed and evaluated.

I mean, it’s interesting but I don’t see how it will be useful to what is presently happening.

Students can learn it as fun and entertainment but assessment on what happened when and why seems silly. We live in a world where the only constant is change, where more scientific advances have been made in the past ten years than the past one hundred. In an age of such mind boggling technology, educationist must ask themselves: How do we keep up? Classrooms don’t seem to be as fun as computer rooms, books aren’t as easy to find as websites, and it’s hard to get more excited about a future lesson being taught than about a future game being released.

The common answer people give to this question is “because we don’t want to repeat the mistakes of the past.” There is some truth to this answer, but it’s largely still useless.

We are losing upon number of important subject areas like humanity and common excuse for which is lengthy syllabus of Humanities to be specific History.

I feel humanity syllabus should be introduced, where in child has to do more of practical work and imbibe human values like sympathy, empathy, mercy, generosity, respect others feelings, help.  Basically abilities and characteristics of human beings as a whole.

May be that’s how we will have lesser reasons to scream students in class. Parents will have fewer conflict to deal and world will have better citizen. Educating humanity in child is like spawning best for world tomorrow.

Let’s learn what we should be, rather than knowing what we were.

Is it Love….?

25 04 2012

Sometimes some thought touches your heart, this write up is one of such. All those who feel they are in love, here is a time to have reality check .

Here is something to ponder upon for all you people who say “I love you” when you have no clue what love is exactly!

Are your palms sweaty, is your heart racing and is your voice caught within your chest? It isn’t love, it’s like. You can’t keep your eyes or hands off of them? It isn’t love, it’s lust. Are you proud, and eager to show them off? It isn’t love, it’s luck. Do you want them because you know they’re there? It isn’t love, it’s loneliness. Are you there because it’s what everyone wants? It isn’t love, it’s loyalty. Do you stay for their confessions of love, because you don’t want to hurt them? It isn’t love, it’s pity. Do you belong to them because their sight makes your heart skip a beat? It isn’t love, it’s infatuation. Do you pardon their faults because you care about them? It isn’t love, it’s friendship. Do you tell them every day they are the only ones you think of? It isn’t love, it’s a lie. Are you willing to give all of your favourite things for their sake? It isn’t love, it’s charity.

Does your heart ache and break when they’re sad? Then it’s love. Do you cry for their pain, even when they’re strong? Then it’s love. Do their eyes see your true heart, and touch your soul so deeply it hurts? Then it’s love. Do you stay because a blinding, incomprehensible mix of pain and relation pulls you close and holds you there? Then it’s love. Do you accept their faults because they’re a part of who they are? Then it’s love. Would you give them your heart, your life, your death? Then it’s love.

Sea side talk’s

8 04 2012

Heard the sound of waves and water gushing on beach? You will never feel you are alone; there is a lot these waves speak. At times even when you visit beach with your family or friends, you are silent and disconnected with people around and you feel your presence. It’s lovely experience.

Yes, personally I have loved hour’s long visits on beach and feeling my existence.

My Friends say I turn into small kid, self engrossed and on other hand get into deep thought like mature human. Yes, it’s time for I, me, and myself.

I Love long walks on a beach where waves play’s with me and kissies my toes gentely; it feels like sea pampers me. When I find shells I feel as if I have found diamond from mine. Writing name on wet sand and making house is so much fun.  I think most of us enjoy doing such things; it’s just that we think a lot about what world thinks about us.

There is lot to learn from this sea. It’s massive, you can’t see its limits. You can just assume it.

It calm in front of mighty super power Sun, as if it’s taking bow.

It reacts furiously when you make him feel cold and darken its view, as if it rebels.

One thing is that it gives you back what you give it. It will always be clean as it was earlier giving to shore back a that u dumped in it, as if making you feel distressed about what you did to it.

Humm, it’s beautiful. Mom says there is lot you learn about life from nature, so be close to it.
